Product FAQ

Straight answers on dosing, storage, compatibility and delivery for the products we supply across Oman.

How much Antiscalant ORG EV 2030 should I dose per m³ of feedwater?

Typical dosing is 3–5 ppm based on feedwater flow, adjusted after a scaling-index review. For high-hardness Gulf feedwater we usually start at 4 ppm and confirm with a 30-day membrane inspection. Our technical team will size it for your specific plant free of charge.

Is Antiscalant ORG EV 2030 certified for potable water RO plants?

Yes. The product is NSF/ANSI 60 compatible at the recommended dose rates and is used on several municipal desalination lines in Oman. Certificates are supplied with each batch.

Can the Multi-Metal Cooling Water Corrosion Inhibitor be used with galvanised steel?

Yes — it is formulated to protect mixed-metallurgy systems including mild steel, copper alloys and galvanised surfaces. Keep the treated-water pH between 7.5 and 9.0 and maintain the reserve as shown on the dosing chart to avoid white rust on fresh galvanising.

What holding time should I use for Descaling Liquid on a heat exchanger?

For light carbonate scale, circulate for 2–4 hours at 45–55 °C and monitor free acid every 30 minutes. Stop once the acid strength stabilises (scale fully dissolved). Always passivate and neutralise the exchanger afterwards before returning it to service.

Is Heavy Duty Degreaser safe on aluminium engine-room surfaces?

Use the diluted solution (1:10 to 1:20) and do not leave it in prolonged contact with bare aluminium. At working dilution and a normal 5–10 minute dwell it is safe; neat product on unprotected aluminium can cause etching.

How often should the Boiler Water Test Kit reagents be replaced?

Replace reagents 12 months after opening, or by the printed expiry date, whichever is sooner. Store them out of direct sunlight below 30 °C. Replacement reagent packs for kit 311 are stocked locally for next-day delivery.

What is the shelf life and storage guidance for Fuel Oil Treat FOT?

Shelf life is 24 months in sealed original drums kept between 5 °C and 40 °C, away from direct sun. Stir or roll drums that have stood for more than three months before dosing.
