Sodium Humate

Humic acids are the organic substances that coagulate when the strong-base extract is acidified while fulvic acids are the organic substances that remain soluble when the strong-base extract is acidified. Humic substances are organic compounds that are important components of humus, the major organic fraction of soil, peat, and coal. Humic acid is a chemical produced by decaying plants. People use it to make medicine. People take humic acid for stimulating the immune system and treating the flu (influenza), avian flu, swine flu, and other viral infections.

Humic acid has been used to prepare stock solution employed in the following experiments:

• Coagulation activity assay of Moringa oleifera protein extracts for humic acid removal.
• Adsorption edge experiment to study its effect on the sorption of tetracycline onto goethite.
• Evaluation of the ability of polymeric adsorbent Supelite Dax-8 to remove humic acid from nucleic acid extracts prior to quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR).

Use 1 to 10 gallons per acre not to exceed a 3% solution of HUMIC ACID 10% to water. ALL CROPS: Apply 1 quart to 3 gallons per acre with the appropriate dilution for adequate coverage. A maximum concentration of 1:10 HUMIC ACID 10% to water should be used for foliar applications.

Humic acid, as a natural organic matter, is widely distributed in surface soil, oceans, rivers, and other ecological environments throughout the whole earth ecosystem. Humic acid provides abundant organic carbon and helps to maintain a hydrated, pH and redox buffered environment hosting the soil microbiome. Humic acid is however also a largely ignored polymer material full of exciting functional properties, and its scale is enormous.
