Ratio Calculation for 100 Ltr Water:
Lime Powder (Calcium Hydroxide) – 5 to 7 kg
Milk Powder – 1 to 2 kg
Sugar – 1 to 2 kg
Note: Adjust proportions based on coverage area and vessel hold condition.
MIXING PROCEDURE:
Fill tank or drum with clean, fresh water.
Slowly add lime powder while stirring constantly to avoid clumping.
Add milk powder and sugar, continuing to stir until fully dissolved.
Let it sit for 5–10 minutes for the mixture to become smooth and uniform.
NOTE: Stir again before use.

This mixture forms a protective whitewash layer that:
Prevents cargo from sticking to the hold surface
Acts as a sacrificial barrier, reducing corrosion and making cleaning easier
Precautions:
Use PPE: Gloves, goggles, and mask (lime is caustic).
