Air Cooler Cleaning Chemical
During the operation, th
Air Cooler Cleaning Chemicals ACC9 AC coil cleaner is a powerful solvent emulsion cleaner, easily dissolves soiled oil and grease deposits. Also helpful to clean all types of engine parts, turbochargers of diesel engines.
During the operation, the fins & tubes of the main engine air cooler become fouled with oil, grease, dust, and carbonaceous deposit, which will affect cooling efficiency.
Very effective TURBOCHARGER & AIR COOLER CLEANING
AIR COOLER CLEANING CHEMICAL is a concentrated liquid solution of aromatic hydrocarbons, powerful surfactants, corrosion inhibitors, and strong emulsifying.
During the operation, the fins & tubes of the main engine air cooler which become fouled with oil, grease, dust and carbonaceous deposit, which will affect cooler efficiency and damage the system.
RXSOL-54-1048-020 ( www.rxmarine.com/safe-acid-descalex-liquid-20-ltr ) is a powerful dissolving agent of calcium carbonate. Therefore, it is better to use RXSOL-54-1048-020 to do circulating cleaning at an early stage before the scales build up and block the tube, or regular cleaning is recommended as well. It is impossible to do a circulating cleaning when the tube is completely blocked.
Dosage
Dirt attached on air-side fins of air coolers are a mix of carbonaceous particles such as soot and oil mist of unburned fuel components.
Carbonaceous particles can be removed by Alkaline Cleaners Part No. RXSOL-16-1040-025 ( www.rxmarine.com/alkaline-air-cooler-cleaner ) and oil mist can be removed by oil based cleaners. However, it is very difficult to remove the mix of these substances. If you use an alkaline cleaner, oil will repel the water based alkaline cleaner; if you use oil based cleaner, carbonaceous particles will get in the way and stop oil from being removed.
This cleaners designed to remove both carbonaceous and oil simultaneously. An effective cleaning method is to immerse one side to remove the loose stains first, and then immerse the other side. This method can efficiently remove dirt and prevent swollen dirt peeled from fins from blocking the spaces between fins.
Dirt in tubes of seawater side
White scales attached on the seawater side of air coolers of many vessels. We found that in most cases, the main component of the scales is calcium carbonate and there is also a small amount of calcium sulfate. Therefore in most cases, if you dissolve the calcium carbonate the scales will be removed.
However, if the amount of scales is large enough to block the tube, the cylindrical scale will usually have calcium carbonate on the outside (the side that is in contact with tube) and calcium sulfate in the center (part that seawater passes through). Calcium sulfate is easier to be formed when the temperature goes higher.
When the amount of scales increases, the contact area of scale and cleaner is very small and a longer time of dissolution is required. Calcium sulfate cannot be dissolved by an acid cleaner.
Industrial Usage
How to Clean Air Cooler?
Air Cooler Detergent Cleaner Formulated to clean remove heavy deposited oil, grease, and carbon and mud deposits from air coolers and scavenging systems. 3 Ltr of Concentrated Cleaner can cover heavily deposited contaminated cooler surface area.
DOSE Air Cooler Cleaning Chmeical Mixing Ration with Water : 1 Part Concentrate COOLER CLEANER with 3 PARTS FRESH WATER.
Note : If condition of COOLER is heavily deposited / contaminated then repeat the injection process 2-3 times.
After cleaning of EMULSIFIED deposits, Rinse the system with FRESH WATER.
Typical Soak Method
USE PLASTIC BATH TUB and dip all machine parts to remove HEAVY DEPOSITED carbon and oil grease. Wait for minimum 2 - 4 hrs then RINSE the parts by using PRESSURE WATER JET.
Note : Must read instruction of ENGINE MANUFACTURE manual.

Air Cooler Cleaner (RXSOL-16-0009-025)
DescriptionAir Cooler Cleaner (RXSOL-16-0009-025) is a concentrated solvent emulsion cleaner specially formulated for cleaning air coolers, scavenging air systems and turbochargers of diesel engines. It effectively removes oil, grease and carbon deposits from cooler surfaces and engine air systems, helping to restore heat transfer efficiency and air flow. The product can be used for both in-service cleaning and off-line cleaning methods. Suitable for application by immersion, soaking, circulation and hand spray methods, depending on the design of the cooler and the degree of fouling. Note: In water solution the product is non-flammable, non-explosive and leaves no harmful residue on engine surfaces. |

Fields of Application
Air Cooler Cleaner is recommended for cleaning of air coolers, scavenging air systems, turbochargers, cooler coils and associated machinery parts contaminated with oil, grease and carbonized deposits.
It can be applied by immersion bath, soak method, circulation cleaning and hand spray cleaning according to equipment design and cleaning requirement.
Method of Use
- In-service cleaning: Pass the cleaning solution through the air trunking upstream of the charge air cooler, followed by a clean water rinse. For efficient cleaning, a correctly installed dosing and injection system is necessary.
- Immersion bath: Immerse cooler parts for at least 2 hours in Air Cooler Cleaner emulsion. Heat the solution to approximately 50°C and provide agitation with an air line. Drain, flush thoroughly with water and dry with an air line.
- Soak method: Parts with stubborn carbon deposits should be dipped into concentrated solution of Air Cooler Cleaner and allowed sufficient time for deposits to loosen before removal. Rinse thoroughly with water after cleaning.
- Circulation method: For coolers designed for in-situ circulation, fill the system with cleaning solution and circulate for 2 to 4 hours at temperatures up to 50°C. After cleaning, flush thoroughly with fresh water and dry with an air line.
- Hand spray cleaning: Apply concentrated Air Cooler Cleaner over cooler coils by hand spray. Allow a minimum of 1 hour for good penetration and emulsification, then wash off loosened deposits using high-pressure water. Keep the drain valve open during the process. After satisfactory cleaning, flush thoroughly with fresh water and close the drains.
